Reminders and New Rules

1. With the league becoming larger and larger each year. We as an executive have talked it over and think it would be a great idea to make each night into 3 tiers instead of 2 next year. That way the middle tier would flip with the 1st and 3rd tiers and make the divisions more even and more fun to play.

2. Bats: only bats approved by NSA are to be used by Cranbrook Mixed Slopitch. There is one bat that we have banned as a league and that is the Jak'd bats. This is for safety reasons. You can view the approved bats other than the Jak'd bats on www.nsacanada.com.

3. Balls: We have insurance through NSA Canada. One of their requirements is to use NSA approved balls. These are yellow Dimarini balls. Other balls have a different core and would void your insurance.

4. We have implemented a mercy rule as well, a team will call mercy when the other team is up 15 after 5 innings with the final score being only 7+ for the winning team. This should eliminate teams from trying crush others for standings.
